Walking along the road and suddenly my senses are snapped awake to a beautiful perfume. At first, invisible, registering only as a smear across the blur of my senses, I am thinking it’s something dreamt up by my imagination to amuse me in these dull suburban streets. I look about, is there really anything here that could be so bright and sing out so loud to give a moment of fleeting pleasure?
There nestled in the leafy shade hang these exquisite mahonia flowers singing out through the drear with their colour and perfume.
